Parish Care Ministries at First United Methodist Church

In response to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, we aspire to promote physical, emotional and spiritual health and well-being through our ministries of compassion and care. You are invited to join with other members and friends of First United Methodist Church in putting a human face and a personal touch on our ministries.

Director of Parish Care
Sage River, our Director of Parish Care, is available to assist members and friends of FUMC with health and wellness issues in a variety of ways.  Some of her activities include:  making home, hospital and nursing home visits; providing support and counseling on health-related issues for individuals and their families or loved ones; making referrals to community resources; providing support for those experiencing grief and bereavement; and sharing resources on different health-related topics and illnesses.  Please contact Sage at 354-5484 or email her at sage-river@icfirstchurch.org if she or the Parish Care Ministries can be of support to you or your family.

Please do not hesitate to contact Sage at 354-5484 or sage-river@icfirstchurch.org if she or Parish Care Ministries can support you or your family.

24/7 On-Call Phone System
Because we all know that crisis situations don’t always occur Monday through Friday from 8 to 4, First United Methodist Church has a 24/7 on-call system, with a member of the pastoral care staff on-call after office hours.  If you have an urgent care need that occurs after office hours, you may call the church office number: 337-2857, and the message you hear will include the phone number of the person who is on call that week.  Urgent care needs may include such things as injury, hospitalization, death, or family break-up.  In keeping with the Core Values of First United Methodist Church, we want to be present for you when we are needed.
